Which Countertop is right for me?

Choosing a countertop is an exciting task, but can be daunting as well. There are more and more choices every time you turn around and it is easy to get a little lost in the process. We’ve created a checklist of things to consider when choosing your countertop. When considering a countertop the space it will be installed should be considered when picking a material. What type of sink you choose, placement of seams, and edge treatments, all affect the look and final fabrication of your countertop.

Color & Variation

Colors, styles, and mediums are virtually limitless! Solid Surface, Granite, and Laminate each offer a wide range of colors, designs, textures, and styles. Come by to see our samples and check out the pages on each style of top for more info.

Edges & Seams

Whichever style of top you choose will have different edge treatment options. Some tops are limited in their available options while others are virtually limitless. Visit the top style pages for more info.

Stain Resistance

Each material will have a different level of stain resistance. Check the porosity of the top you like to determine it’s stain resistance, cleaning methods, and repairs.

Mold & Bacteria Resistance

Only Solid Surface tops have built in anti-fungal and anti-bacterial protection.

Heat Resistance

Only Granite has strong heat resistance. Solid Surface and Laminate tops require the use of a trivet or pot holder when holding hot pots.

Care & Maintenance

Some tops require special cleaners and sealer, while others can simply be wiped with soap and water. Check out the top style pages to determine the care for your tops.
